Tour Route
Rent an electric-assist bike and set off!
The oldest Tenmangu Shrine in Japan, Ikimi Tenmangu enshrine. Sugawara no Michizane, the deity of learning is dedicated. Many visitors come here to pray for academic success. You can also purchase omamori (protective charms) and other items
Sonobe Castle is the last castle ever built in Japan. Today, its main gate serves as the entrance to Sonobe High School. The remaining structures include the main gate, stone walls, watchtowers, and guard stations. Depending on the schedule, it may be possible to enter the gate. If you are interested, please feel free to inquire.
Enjoy a hands-on soba-making experience using locally sourced buckwheat flour in a renovated former elementary school. After making your own noodles, savor freshly boiled soba, served with tempura and rice balls.
A shrine that enshrines the god of agriculture in the Tanba region, which has supported food supply of Kyoto. The main hall has a thatched roof. You can learn the manners of visiting shrines, and you can also enjoy the solemn atmosphere of traditional Japanese shrines.
